Give A Smile UK is a social enterprise. What is a social enterprise? A business that involves itself in the local community, attempting to improve various aspects, especially the lives of people needing help.
Our focus is on providing short holiday breaks to disadvantaged families, with a wide range of physical, financial and social/family problems - our interest is enormous, and no individual or family is ignored, as long as there is a heartfelt need for assistance.
We listen to every one who takes the trouble to contact us, and we always respond to questions and pleas, no matter how simple they may appear to be - we listen, as often there is no one to provide this necessity. In 2014 we provided short holiday breaks to over 50 families, along with various trips to local attractions. Not only this, we have provided employment opportunities to young people who were desperate for someone to place trust in them and allow them to reach their potential.
We made it back in one piece. The short break was fantastic, Ashton really enjoyed himself and even tried a few things that shocked us. Billing was great and we managed to catch some sun on Sunday and get out water Zorbing. Ok so he had to be pulled back in by rope rather shocked but he tried.
Thank you for the experience, it's been 5 years nearly since our last family holiday and it was just what Ashton (And the rest of us needed). We had a family of Ducks visit us twice a day much to our amusement and Ashton coped very well with the change of routine considering. He adored the swimming pool and could have happily stayed right there in the pool for three days. It was Great to see our older children being able to let go and enjoy themselves as they take on a lot of responsibility at home day to day. So a huge thank you for the experience, it's a wonderful thing that you do.Michelle
When I first heard that there was a local business willing to send me and my family to stay at a Holiday Park for free ... I didn't really think that anything would come through for us. I am so pleased to say that the offer from Give A Smile UK was genuine.
My three boys & I had a wonderful time during our weekend break at Billing Aquadrome. We loved the Holiday Home it was really luxurious and each morning we had a family of Ducklings to share our breakfast with on the terrace it was so nice.
We would like to say a big thankyou to all at Give a Smile UK, we really enjoyed our time together.
It was wonderful, and the weather was great.
Thankyou all so much.
Thank you so much for the chance if our weekend away, we all had a fab time.
Sophie danced, swam, giggled all weekend.
We had a lovely time at Devon Cliff ... Weather stayed ok the whole weekend which was a bonus.
Have come back batteries fully recharged and ready to take on the world again.
Yes we really enjoyed our holiday, Rylee was a little disappointed he could not go on go karts as he was just slightly too small but did not faise him as there was so much more he enjoyed.
I really thankyou for the holiday that was provided for our familt and if ever we could return it would be a definative yes, there was just a few minor things missing from caravan like tin opener and not enough plates but as we had to do two journeys to get there as my husband disabled too we was able to bring them from home.,we had visitors everyday from the ducks which was lovely the children would feed them and give them water, once again thankyou so so much.
Thank you for our holiday to Billing Aquadrome. The caravan was great and worked perfectly for Harry who is fully wheelchair dependent. The addition of the mobile hoist made it possible, as we could not have managed without it. The caravan was clean and well equipped and as you can see the boys all enjoyed the outdoor 4 in a line that was there.
The weather was good too which meant Harry was able to enjoy lots of walks, and happily watched the family in a fun game of adventure golf.Kind regards, Tracy
What a weekend - thank you so much for our holiday!! We had an amazing time :) the caravan was spacious and even had some surprise toys for Dakota to play with outside. The site was great very family orientated though there was a wait for the swimming pool due to high demand. The only issue (gripe not really an issue) was that the fire alarm sounded a few time very early on Sunday morning (3:40am to be exact) for no apparent reason :(
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to spend time together as a family and make wonderful memories that will stay with us foreverMary, Rob, and Dakota Riddell
The caravan itself was very comfortable and able to accommodate the six of us well. Having fencing around the caravan was great as it meant the children could go out and play safely. One of the highlights for both of the children were the ducks and swans! The wildlife must have gained several pounds because of the bread they were fed!
On arrival we discovered that a lot of the activities on site were not open, as it was too early in the season and they were not opening until Good Friday.
We had a lovely week at the caravan and visited a number of the local attractions. We went to Drayton Manor and in particular Thomas the Tank Engine land, and Whipsnade Zoo. I have attached some photographs. It was really good to travel only a short distance away as it took a lot of the stress out of going on holiday.
Once again thank you for the opportunity to go, it was very much appreciated by us all.
Natalie Spencer and her son Toby, from Bucks, went to Billing Aquadrome at the end of August.
Natalie said: "We had a fantastic weekend at Billing Aquadrome. We were so pleased to have been given this lovely holiday! The setting was lovely and even though it was at the end of the summer holidays it wasn't that busy, which was great for us and Toby's sensory needs.
We went swimming every day, they had a lovely indoor play area that I struggled to get him out of, but meant I could sit and relax on the terrace overlooking the Marina. It was really beautiful there and gave us a lovely break. He also went on his first Pedlo which was great to be out in the middle of the lake with all the ducks and swans.
I would like to give a big thank you to James and his team for giving us this break and can't thank them enough.
What a fantastic five days!
Thank you again so much for our break! It was so lovely to get away and compared to sharing the flat it felt like we were living in a mansion! We even had an en suite! Phoenix had a fantastic time and was exhausted every night, we got to take him swimming together and managed to win a whole collection of minions of the grabber machines, someone must have been really looking out for us because the sun was beaming from the moment we got there and it only rained on the morning we left. We can't thank you enough for this opportunity to have our first ever little holiday together. We have made some fantastic memories we will cherish forever!
I'd like to say a big thank you to James & all the guys at Give a Smile UK.

Dear Give A Smile UK,
I am writing to thank you so much for giving us a fantastic relaxing holiday! It was perfect. The boys loved there break, swimming defiantly was a top favourite and they both now have a lot more confidence in water! Must be those great water slides! The site was lovely, fantasticly laid out and really is something there for everyone. The caravan was beautiful, even the pet baby geese we had by the door most mornings!
I would like to say a huge thank you to yourself and your team for giving us all this break. It really did 'give a smile', in fact it gave 2 children and 2 adults a big smile! Please see a photo attached of the boys enjoying watching the birds on the lake. Many thanks
Bradley, his mum Sarah and all the family enjoying their stay in our specially adapted chalet at Billing Aquadrome.
2015 was truly BRILLIANT! With your invaluable support and considerable generosity, we did better than we dared hope. Together, we managed to give literally hundreds of smiles, averaging one much-needed break for a struggling family every week of the year.
There are still many deserving families on our list so this year we hope to do even better - much, much better - we have set ourselves the target ofdoubling the number of families we can help.
In 2016 we will be seeking to expand our activities further across the UK, bringing in more energetic, smiling workers to help us. Following the success of last year, we are already finding more support from the corporate sector too.
So, if you see our representatives in your town centre, please help us to Give a Smile UK, even if it’s simply to offer our hard-working boys and girls a quick word of encouragement for the sterling work they do.
The Makh family, see the moment they were told that had been chosen for one of our short breaks...
Here at Give A Smile UK we also aim to provide employment opportunities to people who have been affected by the recession and otherwise would find themselves in the difficult reality of unemployment or a constant struggle to find full time or even part time work.
Our objective is to give hard-working people sales experience, communication skills, along with a great boost of self confidence. So, if you feel you’ve got what it takes to be a successful agent for Give a Smile UK, then we want to hear from you as soon as possible. You’ll find our contact details at the bottom of this page...
